So far been busy juggling my new freedom with a lot of decorating and housework catch-up. I got my first major project near enough finished, a complete redoing of my Weird Wales site. The old version was table heavy, and a bit cluttered looking.
I decided it needed a bit of an overhaul, and I also had a good few new articles to add that had been sent me but I'd put off adding as it was a chore. I started it a few weeks back but got sidelined until now.
Once again I've tried to simplify my workload for the site, so there's new automated includes and a new Weird News From Wales section which is powered by Blogger. Once again it's clean CSS, and not laid out with tables. I'm starting to wish I'd learned CSS a lot earlier in my career. Hopefully now there's some more articles added, it will encourage people to send in more to add to the site. This is very much a long tail project (buzzword bingo fans mark you card), like all the sites I've built in the last 18 months.
I'm not expecting any of them to really pick up for a good couple of years - but hopefully they will do so, even if it's slowly. Now that's done, where to turn to next. This site needs a lot of work, as does Cheesy-Movies and other recent works. On top - I also have a couple of neat new ideas that I want to set up and start pumping out pages for. So much to do, so little time.
