Live chat is addictive. If my posts have become less frequent its probably down to the fact I have been spending so much time (too much) in the Crazy Mazey chatroom.
If you fancy some hot film talk, mainly about the most bizarre horror and cult films then drop in and say hello - they're a good bunch. Grab yourself a copy of irc client Mirc, connect to a random Efnet server and then join channel [DEAD CHANNEL] #crazymazeys. If I'm about then, unsurprisingly, its under the name _Dio_.
Some photos I took last week at St Fagans. We had a day out in between outbreaks of Chicken Pox. First Mrs Dio had it and now Elis is sufferin' the dreaded pox. Anyway, didn't get much of a chance to snap, but I found myself interested in some nice contrasting skies and whitewashed walls, and some nice farmyard scenes.
There's a rubbish tip with a fortune on it somewhere. Cleaners accidentally throws out artwork.
I've not been snapping an awful lot recently, but here are some from the last week. Firstly I'll start with what was an initially surreal but now not uncommon experience of finding horses out on our front verge. Elis had a ball, he was entranced by them. Four had escaped from the field down the road, no doubt someone told them they were destined for the dinner tables of Europe. :(
Anyway, Elis enjoyed it, he spent a few minutes looking at them with much awe.
This past weekend we had a quick trip to Penarth, to get out and stretch our legs. I took a few photos of Elis and a few more of the pier. Elis loved the beach, although he has developed the habit of throwing pebbles in every conceivable direction. For his size he is getting one hell of a throwing action going.
And having been fed up with my lack of getting out and about to snap, and the pitifully small size of my galleries in recent months, I was out again yesterday to do some lunchtime shots. The light was far from good, but I was having fun with some nice tree details and close up fill-in flash work.

I've become useless. I'm blaming it on the weather. It matters not where I look I don't seem to be able to find some spare time. It already halfway through August and I've not updated the fact I've put up some new galleries [DEAD GALLERY] for last month.
I really do hate this unending hot and humid weather. I'm not sleeping, I'm a zombie. I should go to bed and get sleep, but I enjoy the end of the night so much I can't do it. Loads of stuff has happened, lots of things to blog about and share, but its speeding away in a humid vapour of can't be arsed. Anyway. Some others from July's galleries [DEAD LINK] that I haven't shown yet.

This pumping, awesome mp3 came around tagged on to the end of the Popbitch Newsletter.
New to me band Dead Combo have an album coming out this month, and on the strength of that track its just jumped on to my up and coming purchases list. Think Suicide doing Stooges/Garage sounding Psychedelia. This is a real trippy track with the best Suicide drums I've heard for ages. I feel the need for Acid Pro to be fired up again.
I said to the Missus yesterday when the new US terror alert was on the news. The announcer reported something along the lines of "the new terror alert is based on..." and I finished the sentence for her benefit, "reports that the Democrats are doing well after their speeches at the weekend."
Turns out this is old info they are basing these threats on. Right, now where's that definition of a terrorist gone? Ah yes, "one who uses terror as a tool to get their own way..."
