Ok, at least in my own sadly demented mind. Been working hard on the Acid Pro, and come up with my first brand new musical track in ages. I'm well chuffed with it too.
I'm setting up a new MP3.com page for DJ Dio Bach (well no one will know I ain't really a DJ) for the output of my new Electric music tracks. In the mean time, if you want to hear the fruit of my loins,
then right click and 'save as' on this link (mp3 @ 96kbs 2.5mb.)
It's called 'The Bored Bodyguard', and its in the flavour of the Chemical Brothers / Depth Charge / Primal Scream.
Have a listen and let us know what you think anyway, (mp3 @ 96kbs 2.5mb.)
The track is called so in recognition of where the samples have come from. There is a looped guitar riff and sax refrain that has come from the punk band (feat. Ron Asheton of The Stooges) called Destroy All Monsters.
A kicking late 70's punk album with some great guitars and lethargic singing. A firm and heavy favourite of mine. If you haven't heard it and like the sound, pick it up by clicking on the picture...
The talking has come from the crappy Kung Fu flick The Bodyguard with Sonny Chiba. All the drums were recorded with Hammerhead, a free and extremely simple drum loop program available from
here. All the other loops where done in
SimSynth.
I resorted to the vocal samples as I tried singing, but it is so what I'm not used to singing that I had to give up!
Anyway, I have loads a plans to do more stuff, including using Riffs from my Meltwater stuff, just to see how it turns out. Will keep you posted!
